Acekard

The Acekard works with the Nintendo DS, DS lite,DSi and DSi XL consoles and allows you to store extra files on your consoles. With support for all the major media types you can now fully utilise your console's capabilities. With the Acekard 2i you can watch movies, view photos, listen to music and even read eBooks thanks to the superb technology that has been developed for this wonderful card.

The Acekard itself takes Micro SD or SDHC memory card to store files and is capable of storing up to a massive 32GB of data all on a little Micro SDHC card roughly the same size as the average phone SIM card. The Micro SDHC or SD can be connected to your PC using the included memory card reader which fits into the USB port on your PC, usually located at the front of the PC. After inserting the memory card you should be faced with a prompt window and from there onwards setting up the Acekard is easy.

You can download the firmware from the website stated on the front of the card and then transfer over the installation files and any others you wish to playback on your DS console. Then simply insert the memory card back into the Acekard which slots back into slot 1 on your console. Setup takes less than 5 minutes and anyway with any sort of computer knowledge can do it, you don't need to have any experience beforehand.

As well as being easy to use the Acekard is compact and suitable for carrying around with you, the nature of the device means you can play for hours and hours and still have plenty of entertainment options to choose from thanks to the huge capacity of the Micro SD card.

The Acekard also supports the latest free homebrew games which can be downloaded from the internet for use on your console, these homebrew games are compatible with the latest Nintendo DS consoles as well as the older generations too. We recommend before choosing an Acekard to think about what you plan to use it for, the more data you plan to store and playback the more room you will need. For most users 4GB is enough and that is our most popular version, however for the more demanding gamer it may be worth your while to look at the 8GB version. We also offer the Acekard without a memory card for those who already own a Micro SD or SDHC card at home.
